The link below, takes you on a classroom tour. On the picture tour you will see different types of seating and organization for my fifth grade writers. Like most classrooms, it isn't a perfect system, but it works for my kiddos. Also, students created a list of norms to help with organization, expectations, and responsibilities they follow each day. 2018-2019 Supply List

For this school year, the students will only need pencils for my writing class. All other materials are provided.

Welcome parents, students, and friends to the start of the 2018-2019 school year and to our Fifth Grade Classroom Page. For those of you who don't know me, I have taught in the Athens Area School District for ten years. I have thoroughly enjoyed building and shaping the lives of many students throughout my time in fifth grade. This year is my fourth year teaching writing exclusively. The road to get to this point has seemed quite bumpy and extensive, but I have slowly (and continue to) build a writing curriculum where students can experience real-world writing careers, techniques, and opportunities. Like every year, I am looking forward to working with a new crop of writers, and cannot wait to see the growth as the year progresses. Thank you for your support, and I look forward to building a working relationship with you and your child.

8:00 - 8:15: Attendance

8:15 - 9:30: Core 1

9:30 - 10:45: Core 2

10:45 - 11:30: Special

11:30- 12:00: RtII (Reading and Math)

12:00 - 12:30: Recess

12:30 - 1:00: Lunch

1:00 - 1:15: Bathroom/Drink/Silent Reading/Read Aloud

1:15 - 2:30: Core 3

2:30 - 2:45: Pack Up/Dismissal
