Mr. White

Welcome to Mr. White's World

Just a Thought

With every passing hour our solar system comes forty-three thousand miles closer to globular cluster 13 in the constellation Hercules, and still there are some misfits who continue to insist that there is no such thing as progress.

Please remember that we follow a schedule that will help you to know when things are coming.  The semester schedule is attatched below and will give you an idea of where we are and where we are going.
We will have a quiz for each chapter and will be on the notes from the chapter.  If the grade earned on the quiz is not what you wished it was you may retake it on your own time.  When you retake the quiz it will be so at a 20% reduction.  With this you would need to get a 100% on the retake to get an 80%.  I will always take the highest grade earned on a quiz.
Each chapter will have a test and once that test is turned back and placed into your folder you will be allowed to fix it for extra points. The fixing of your tests can be done anytime that you are free as all you need to do is come into my room, get the test out of your folder, sit in the back to fix it with your notebook, then place it under the rock before you leave.
The homework will consist of both essays and internet worksheets.  The essays will be from the days discussion and will have a preassigned rubric.  All essays will be due the next day.  The internet worksheets are all on my website and you will have five school days to complete them.  If you do not have good internet at home then you will need to use the internet here at school.  This is why you get five school days to complete them as you may need to get a pass from me to get on a computer somewhere here at school.
Anytime that you need help on something or want to study I am available before school, during lunch, after school or any other time that we both may be available. Be sure to see me ahead of time so I know you are coming.

Men love to wonder, and that is the seed of science. Ralph Waldo Emerson
